On November 6th, voters will be asked to approve a 3/10 of 1% increase in local sales tax to fund criminal DETERENCE and EARLY PREVENTION & INTERVENTION programs.

Approval of Prop 1 will allow us to take bold action to change the negative behaviors of so many in Thurston County, and to stem the financial and emotional drain of those behaviors. This bold action has two objectives: To make a concentrated effort to help families and children learn new behaviors that reduce abuse and neglect and to intervene in the cycle of criminal behavior that has resulted in repeat jail sentences.
