Gold Price Adjusted For Inflation Chart

Gold Price Adjusted For Inflation Chart
Graph showing the base and precious metal prices adjusted for inflation?

A coworker and I were talking yesterday about the debate this time over whether the U.S. is "officially" in recession, and the point came up that although economic growth has slowed, gold prices (a common barometer for inflation) are far from an inflation-adjusted record. I have seen stories recently that have also mentioned the rising prices of base metals like copper (hence an excess of recent news on copper theft), but I have not been able to find all the information metal prices on an inflation-adjusted basis. Anyone know of online listing which shows historical prices for precious and base metals in line with inflation?

Not sure which is adjusted for inflation, but you can find the best spot in http://www.scrapmetalpricesandauctions.com
